I love the remoteness of the Northumberland Landscape; one farm at Uswayford in the Coquet valley is reputed to be the most remote farmhouse in England!

However, within the county are some of Britain’s most important features. These include Hadrian’s Wall, Kielder Forest and Kielder Water. The Pennine Way long distance footpath and Sustrans National Cycle Routes 1 & 68 also pass through the area.

The Northumberland National Park covers a large area, but there are only 2000 inhabitants within the Park boundary!
